Day 1: Tangier to Chefchaouen

After meeting you at our agreed place, we start our journey through the Rif mountains and the town of Tituen with beautiful mountain views until we reach Chefchaouen chawan. In fact, it is one of the most beautiful villages at the foot of the Rif. The medina of Chefchaouen has a Spanish-style square surrounded by many trendy craft shops, restaurants and rooftop cafes, a perfect place to spend the night enjoying the breeze and the beauty of nature.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES

After breakfast at the riad, we will start the road to Volubilis passing through Wazan and other peak villages. So, in Volubilis, we will discover the Roman ruins and discover the archaeological sites of Moroccan history, after visiting the ruins, we will go to the city of Meknes, a 17th century heritage, where we will have lunch and stop at the Wander the historical medina of the Great Wall, bab el mansour, and enjoy the visit of the Moulay Ismail sanctuary. After visiting Meknes, we will drive directly to the city of Fez where you will spend the night at the Riad.

Day 3: FES Full Day

After breakfast in your riad, you will begin to explore the alleyways and side streets of Morocco’s oldest city. So we start by visiting the Gate of the Royal Palace, seat of the Jewish people, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, in the 16th century. First, we will ensure that you visit all the sites of cultural and historical significance, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest university in the region, the Tannery, the Attarine Museum and the Mulay Idriss Mausoleum. After lunch, you will continue your tour of Morocco in Tangier, visiting a tile cooperative before admiring a magnificent panorama of the medina of Fez.

DAY 4: FES – IIFRANE – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

This day we will tour the Middle Atlas towards the southeast via Ifrane, the “Moroccan Switzerland”, then Azrou, we will make a stop at the famous cedar forest, the largest place in Morocco to see and play with Berber monkeys. From there we continue south passing through several towns where you will have the chance to see nomads living in tents. We then stop in Midert where you will have lunch. We then continue to Merzouga via the Tizi N’Talghomt pass (1907m) for panoramic views. You will also stop to admire the panoramic view of the Aoufous palm grove along the Ziz river. At the end of the day, we continue towards the superb dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will spend the night in a Riad or a hotel

Day 5: MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI – CAMEL TREKKING

After breakfast in your Riad, you will can take a little explore the area before embarking on a camel ride; you will meet the Gnawa people – originally from Mali, Senegal and Sudan – in their village of Khamlia, where you will learn about their music and way of life. Later, we will head to the desert area to meet nomadic families and explore their way of life. Our lunch today will be a traditional Berber meal (Berber pizza). You can also choose to visit the old town of Rissani – the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family of Morocco. Rissani is surrounded by around 360 ksar (a fortified village with many towers) and has a large souk (an open market) which is held three times a week. It was formerly called Sijilmassa and was the gathering place for salt caravans from Timbuktu, Mali. Here you can stroll through the souks selling spices, vegetables and fabrics. Return to the city of Merzouga. In the afternoon, you will take a camel ride led by an experienced camel driver to discover what is hidden in the middle of the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Dinner will be served in front of your overnight tent.

DAY 6: MERZOUGA – TOUDRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

After watching the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara and having breakfast, we will return to the hotel or riad on the back of a camel. Then we cross the canyons of Rissani, Alnif, Todra. There we will go rock climbing and have a traditional Moroccan lunch. We travel a short distance through the canyon before arriving in the Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – AIT BEN HADDOU – Marrakech

After breakfast, we cross the Dades Valley to Karamguna Ouarzazate. Because the road through the Dades Valley is the road of a thousand castles. This presents plenty of opportunities to capture the best photos of your trip. We then stop for lunch at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains of the early 20th century, and it was one of its long stopovers. Sahara Desert in Marrakech. Today the castle is one of the UNESCO heritage sites. Then we will change route and cross the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying panoramic views and charming Berber villages to Marrakech. Then spend the night in a luxurious riad in the medina.

Day 8: Marrakech Full Day

After breakfast at the Riad in the morning, we will explore Marrakech, the “Red City of Morocco”, we will make sure you see the main historical and cultural sites. First, the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace. Then after lunch in a restaurant near the square, you will stroll through the souks admiring hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon you will have free time to explore the rest of the city on your own. Night at the Riad.

Day 9: Essaouira Day Trip

After breakfast at your hotel, you will begin your journey to the coastal town of Essaouira and explore the city. We will make sure to visit the Scala Fortress; see Thuya wood cut by craftsmen. Then stroll through the alleys of the medina to see hundreds of handicrafts. The “Wind City” attracts surfers from all over the world. Essaouira has gone through many civilizations – including the Portuguese occupation. They have therefore greatly influenced its architecture – however, it is still a city with a lot of history. Due to its size and distinctive blue doors and washed walls. It is also considered the “Pearl of the Atlantic” of Morocco.

You will therefore also visit a women’s cooperative for argan oil. Here they extract oils known for their culinary, cosmetic and medicinal properties. Lunch will be served Moroccan style – fresh fish “cooked to order” at the fish market. Then in the afternoon you will return to Marrakech. Finally a night in your riad.

Day 10: Marrakech – Airport

Transfer to Casablanca or Marrakech airport to end our tour of Morocco in Tangier.
