8 Days Tour From Tangier To Marrakech Via Sahara Desert

 

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

We will meet you at the port or airport and cross the Rif mountains, passing through the town of Titouen, enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery, until we reach Chefchaouen. In fact, it is one of the most beautiful villages at the foot of the Rif. Chefchaouen’s medina has a Spanish style square surrounded by many trendy craft shops, rooftop restaurants and cafes where you will have lunch before continuing to Fez where we will have a traditional night in a Moroccan riad.

 

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN ā€“ VOLUBILIS ā€“ MEKNES ā€“ FES

Today after breakfast at the Riad, we start our real journey from Tangier Morocco Tours to Volubilis. Pass by Ouazins and other cities of the Rif. Therefore, in Volubilis, we will discover the Roman ruins and discover the archaeological sites of Moroccan history. After visiting the ruins, we will go to the city of Meknes, heritage of the 17th century. There we stopped for lunch, walked around the historic medina wall, Bab El Mansour, and visited the shrine of Moulay Ismail. Finally after visiting Meknes we will head directly to the city of Fez where you will spend the night in a riad.

 

Day 3: Visit Fez

After breakfast at your hotel, you will begin to explore the oldest city in Morocco. First, stroll through its alleys and side streets. Our visit therefore begins with the visit of the Gate of the Royal Palace, seat of the Jewish people, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, in the 16th century. Therefore, we will ensure that you visit all the sites of cultural and historical significance, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest university in the region, the tannery, the Atalin Museum and the Moulay Idris Mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit a tile cooperative. Then discover a magnificent panorama of the entire medina of Fez.

 

DAY 4: FES ā€“ IFRANE ā€“ MIDELT ā€“ MERZOUGA ā€“ CAMEL RIDE AND NIGHT IN A TENT

This day we will tour the Middle Atlas towards the south-east via Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco”, then we will will stop at Azrou stops at the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, to see and play with Barbary apes. From there we continue south passing through several towns where you will have the chance to see nomads living in tents. We then stop in Midert where you will have lunch. We then continue to Merzouga via the Tizi N’Talghomt pass (1907m) for panoramic views. You will also stop to admire the panoramic view of the Aoufous palm grove along the Ziz river. At the end of the day, we continue to the stunning sand dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will ride a camel and spend the night in nomadic tents.

 

DAY 5: MERZOUGA ā€“ TODRA GORGES ā€“ DADES VALLEY

After watching the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara desert and having breakfast, we return to the hotel or riad by camel. Then we continue to the Sagro Mountains. We will then arrive at the Todra Gorges, where we will have a traditional Moroccan lunch, then cross the gorges before reaching the Dades Valley for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 6: Dades Valley ā€“ Ouarzazate ā€“ Aiben Haddou ā€“ Marrakech

After breakfast, we begin our journey through the Dades Valley towards Karamguna and Ouarzazate. Since the route through the Dades Valley is the Path of a Thousand Castles, it offers countless opportunities to capture some of the best photos of your trip. We then stop at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah for lunch. First of all, it is the largest Kasbah in Morocco. Built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber leaders of the early 20th century. It was a stopover on his long journey from the Sahara desert to Marrakech. In fact, the Kasbah is now one of the UNESCO heritage sites. We will then change route and cross the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying panoramic views and charming Berber villages along the way, all the way to Marrakech. Finally spend the night in a luxury riad in the medina.

 

Day 7: Marrakech Full Day

After breakfast at the Riad, explore Marrakech, the “Red City of Morocco”. So, on these Tangier Morocco tours, we will ensure that you see the most important historical and cultural sites. Including Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace. Then after lunch in a restaurant near the square, you will stroll through the souks admiring hundreds of handicrafts. Finally, you will have free time in the afternoon to explore the rest of the city on your own.

 

Day 8: Marrakech ā€“ Airport

Transfer to the airport, our service is finally over.
