12 Day Tour From Marrakech Via Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – transfer to hotel

2 Day 2: Full Day Marrakech Tour

3 Day 3: Marrakech – Essaouira

4 Day 4: ESSAOUIRA – JADIDA – CASABLANCA – RABAT

After breakfast, head for Rabat to continue your tour of the Atlantic coast. Pass through El Jadida, a small port town formerly controlled by the Portuguese and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site; then stop in Casablanca to visit Plaza Mohammed V and the impressive Hassan II Mosque. Explore the imperial city of Rabat, including the Mechouar (walls and ramparts surrounding the Royal Palace), the majestic Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah Oudaya with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the homeland. at the Gallery of Moroccan Craftsmanship. After breakfast at the riad, our real journey begins with a scenic drive from the heights of the Rif Mountains through fertile agricultural hills to the Berber Roman ruins of Volubilis, a museum. Volubilis isn’t quite as spectacular as the Berber-Roman ruins along the Mediterranean coast, but it’s still an easy way to take in an important part of Morocco’s history. We’ll head to Meknes, Morocco’s fourth largest imperial city and a 17th century heritage site, where we’ll have lunch and stroll around the historic medina wall. After the introduction, we visited the city gate of Mansour and visited the shrine of Moulay Ismail. After visiting Meknes, we will head directly to the city of Fez where you will spend the night.

7 Day 7: Full day to explore Fez

After breakfast, you will visit the ancient imperial city of Fez accompanied by a local guide. It is considered the Mecca of the West and the Athena of Africa. It is the largest city in the country after Casablanca, with a population of around 1 million. 8 Day 8: FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA

9 DAY 9: MERZOUGA – BERBER FAMILY – BLACK DESERT – MERZOUGA (Camel ride and night in the Sahara)

After breakfast at the hotel, we start to explore the region visiting the village of Khamlia, originally from enslaved Sudan. Experience music and lifestyle. We can also visit the thread houses of the Berber nomads, where many Berber handicrafts are available at a lower price than in the big cities. In the afternoon, under the guidance of an experienced camel driver, you will ride a camel to explore the mysterious sand sea of ​​Erg-Chebi. Here you will spend your first night under the stars or, if you prefer, in a traditional Berber nomad tent. 10 Day 10: Merzouga – Irfurt – Turug – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley.

Wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise atop the Sahara sand dunes, followed by breakfast. After these wonderful moments, you return to your hotel by camel. We headed towards Tineghir via Erfoud and Tinejdad. Take a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue towards the Todra gorges via Tineghir. Stop along the way to take photos and enjoy the view. Arrive in the Todra Gorge and enjoy stunning views of the canyons as you hike. Then we will drive to Boumalne Dades and stop to admire the panoramic view of the Dades Valley.

11 Day 11: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast at the hotel this morning we leave for Ouarzazate via Skoura. Stop for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt, then stop near the Atlas Cinema Studio to take photos. You will then visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and have lunch at a local restaurant in the city. In the afternoon, we cross the High Atlas mountains crossing the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 meters above sea level) to Marrakech.

12 Day 12: Marrakech – Airport

Transfer from the hotel to the airport to conclude the 12-day circuit departing from Marrakech.
